Winter and the Christmas season means big, meaty and tasty Dungeness crab. I was lucky to have Steve Y. Invite me with him to crab marine area 13. We met in Puyallup at 9:30 and headed out towards the Reach.
Steve likes to crab in 100-120′ of water and has his crabbing dialed in since he uses good bait, heavy pots, and a working knowledge where the crab hang out. The results speak for themselves with a few crabs pushing the 10″ mark. Nicely done with Chinese black bean and ginger garlic sauce.
