Had a chance to meet up with friends, throw back an adult soda pop, enjoy some laughs and happy hour and don’t he annual tradition. This year’s event was hosted in Benaroya hall in DT Seattle.
The reviews on the films were mixed, alot of films on conservation versus raw fishing. I did enjoy Carpland by RA Beattie and Cuba fishing opportunities, however the heavy sponsors and commercialism to the films by having lodges, guide service, and tackle really seemed to the away the originality and flare of the films compared to years past.
Our group was able to wrangle the official trucker caps, worth the price of admission. I looked at the weather report and USGS and it’s not looking good for a few days. Big soaker rains and a climbing bank levels. These rains will bring that last push of fish in just prior to the closure on Feb 15th. Hoping for my break, I’ll be checking back in once the water stabilizes and slightly clears.
