What a fantastic, quiet and peaceful time on the water. I longed for this weekend since the last time I was out two weeks ago. I was armed with plenty of good bait in the form of Beaver Lake trout. Oily, greasy and plump, these area 9 dungees had no chance.
One bad part of the day was that a line came undone from the buoy clip and lost a brand new crab pot set up. I’d put alot of effort and time into getting the pots dialed in, only to lose them with a bad clip. Will have to tie them from now on as its gotten pricey replacing gear.
This is the by far the best batch, big, meaty and sweet! Some approaching the 8″ mark!
Angela B. joined and had a great time pulling pots. She was a good deckhand as well, taking charge with baiting, sorting and cleaning the boat. Good times and good memories for Jojo as well.
