I thought I was done, but the beautiful day coupled with my thoughts on the season gave reason to bust out to give it another try. This morning, it would be my wife and boys joining as its rare that the times and tides coincide with them wanting to fish.
We didn’t leave the house until 9 and grabbed a quick breakfast at McDonald’s and walked on the ferry headed towards Edmonds. Tide change was at 10:41 but we didn’t get back over to Kingston until 10:50. Lines were down by 11 and we caught one drift before the water started moving the other way. Within minutes we had a take down, but a little to small for the fish box and off the chrome bullet went back into the water.
We changed the drift and moved where the bait went and had a few more hits and then the starboard rod went off bouncing and we had fish on!
My wife was the good luck charm!
