The day prior to going tuna fishing, David K. had arranged to meet up with Chuck W. for a couple hours on coho fishing in the sound. Chuck and David both grew up in North Seattle and went to high school together, but had lost touch for a few years. Fishing is always the common denominator and the stellar coho action would draw us to the water once again. After all, this won’t last forever.
We meet up at 06:00 at the dock and loaded up and pushed off. Today I would use my proven red racer and green Ace high Fly with a cured herring strip. It was a beautiful weather day with tons of traffic due to the PSA derby that was scheduled for the next day. I think alot of folks were taking advantage of the good weather and fishing.
We hooked a couple of nice fish including this hooknose which took my Ace hi set up on the MR2LA reel. I love the newly finished carbon fiber lowers that Dov Y. customized for me on the Okuma Blue Diamond troll rods.
